STEELKIT is a business in the furniture manufacturing industry specializing in hand-made furniture made on order. Items in stock are subject to availability.
Orders will be processed within one to three days. Custom orders might take longer, depending on material availability.
The collection will be confirmed via WhatsApp or e-mail, and all arrangements will be stated on the invoice.

 

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering your items:

• It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all measurements, color, and total of orders given in the quotation are correct;

• In case of payment default, STEELKIT reserves the right to remove the product from the customer's premises;

• Interest penalties on overdue accounts will be charged at prime + 2% per week. If legal action is necessitated, all legal costs incurred in recovering debts, including attorney/client and client/attorney costs, will be for the client's account.

• All items ordered will remain the property of STEELKIT until payment has been received in full;

• Any item that has not been collected within five business days from the date that collection has been arranged will incur a storage fee of LBP 50,000 per day. If any item is not collected within three weeks of completion, STEELKIT will be allowed to sell the product to cover costs, after which 30% of the deposit will be repaid to the client. No liability will be accepted for any damages caused after five days of ordered items not being collected;

• Confirmation of orders will be deemed official after a 50% deposit on orders placed via phone and 100% received on orders via the website. In the event of a cancellation of an order, a cancellation fee might be incurred. Each matter will be adjudicated individually, taking into account various factors, i.e., a notice period of cancellation, progress on the existing project, reasonable potential to find an alternative buyer, etc.;

• In the event of cancellation of an order, no refunds for deposits on already ordered custom-made items will be made;

• Because all our products are hand-made, differences among products may occur from time to time; however, all endeavors are made to produce products that resemble the original as closely as possible;

• Photos used on www.steelkit.co and social media platforms represent the design only. As described in the previous paragraph, slight variations may occur, and 100% similarity can unfortunately not be guaranteed. The company cannot be held liable in the event where a product differs in any immaterial manner from the product on the website;

• In the event of an incorrect price accidentally being displayed, the correct fee will automatically apply;

 

DELIVERY POLICY

• Delivery costs are not included in the price of any item unless expressly stated on the quote/invoice;

• Delivery times are strictly Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 17:00. No exceptions will be made;

• If a client is only able to take delivery outside the times stated above, it should be noted upon ordering the furniture;

• The client will be notified one day before delivery (alternatively, on the day of intended delivery, should it be necessary). STEELKIT will do everything possible to honor the arranged time for delivery; however, as this is not always possible, delivery can be done any time between 09:00 and 18:00 on the agreed date;

• The delivery fee applies only to goods delivered to the physical address provided, not to a specifically designated spot on the premises. STEELKIT will not be held liable for any damage to furniture or other property during the process of placing furniture in a designated area;

• Prior arrangements must be made if a furniture piece needs to be dismantled to fit a specific area. Additional costs may be incurred should this be necessary.

CANCELLATION, REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

• No cancellation of custom-made furniture items will be allowed;

• Online orders can be canceled within two days of placing the order, where after a cancellation fee will be charged;

• The provision of goods and services is subject to the availability of products and materials. In the case of a product being unavailable, the client would be refunded in full within thirty days;

• If a product is inaccurately described or does not fulfill its purpose, a refund, exchange, or repair will be offered within five business days after delivery. Should the problem occur longer than five days after delivery, the client will have a choice between an exchange or repair only;

• All complaints must be received in writing via e-mail (not WhatsApp) within five business days of delivery/collection. No refund will be granted if the complaint was not made in writing;

• All furniture that is custom-made to the client's specification is excluded from being refunded if the client no longer wants the item;

• All measurements and specifications about the furniture item are the sole responsibility of the client, and no refunds will be considered for incorrect information provided by the client;

PAYMENT TERMS

• First payment is expected to be made within 48 hours of placing the order and receiving the invoice, failing which the order will automatically be canceled;

• Should the client fail to make payment for the second installment, a period of fourteen days will be granted for the settling of the installment, failing which the order will be canceled and a 10% handling fee on the total amount of the charge incurred;

• If a client cancels the order before all installments have been received, a 10% handling fee will be incurred before repayment of the balance;

• Furniture will only be ready for collection/delivery upon payment of the final installment.

WARRANTY​

• The warranty on all furniture items relates to the fact that all goods manufactured and supplied by the company will be free from defects;

• The contract will immediately be rendered null and void in the event of any of the following instances:

  • Alterations/modifications made to the goods supplied without the prior consent of STEELKIT;

  • Failure to use goods by the instructions and specifications;

  • General misuse and abuse of goods;

  • Tampering with products, such as dismantling or alterations;

  • Any damage caused by fire, flood, civil disturbances, or an act of God;

  • If the client is unable to produce the original invoice.

MOVING OF FURNITURE

DURING DELIVERY

• While every care will be taken in the moving of furniture, the company will not be held liable for any damage to it; The company will not be held responsible for any damages to a product after it has been delivered to the required premises; It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that ample space is available for a furniture item to be carried into a building or onto the premises. STEELKIT will not be held liable for any damage due to space limitations.

INDEMNITY

• The client acknowledges the risk involved in the supply of STEELKIT products and indemnifies the said company from any harm/damages caused to their property despite reasonable control or as a result of an unintentional act of any person, whether or not in the employ of the company.

PRIVACY POLICY

• STEELKIT will take all reasonable steps to protect our client's and website visitors' personal information. 

COOKIES

• We employ the use of Cookies. By accessing our website, you agree to use cookies in agreement with the privacy policy of STEELKIT.

• USD cash or LBP at the market rate.

• Bank transfer (fresh account) - Banking details are provided on the invoice.

RESPONSIBILITY

• Country of domicile. The laws of Lebanon govern this website. It is the country chosen by STEELKIT as domicile and executant for all purposes relating to this agreement, whether in court procedures, notices, or other documentation/communication.

• STEELKIT may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part at any time without notice.

LICENCE

• Unless otherwise stated, STEELKIT and its licensors own the intellectual property rights for all designs/materials.

• All intellectual property rights are reserved. Specific restrictions about the licensing terms and conditions are the prohibition of:

  • Republishing of material belonging to the company;

  • Selling, renting, or sub-licensing any material used by the company;

  • Reproducing, duplicating, or copying any material/design used by the company;

  • Redistribution of content owned by the company.

  • This agreement shall be effective on the publication date thereof.

CONTENT LIABILITY

The company will not be held responsible for any content that appears on another website. No link(s) should appear on any website that may be interpreted as libelous, obscene, or criminal or infringes, otherwise violates, or advocates the infringement or other violation of any third party's rights.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

Participants agree to be bound to and follow the linking terms and conditions above by linking to our website. The company reserves the right to request that any or all links to our website be removed. The company also reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions and its linking policy at any time.

If any link on our website proves offensive to any user, such a user is free to contact and inform the company anytime. Although the company will consider all removal requests, it is not obliged to respond to any user directly.

The company does not undertake to ensure that the information on this website is correct, nor does it warrant the completeness or accuracy thereof, or promise to ensure that the website remains available or the material on the website is updated.

DISCLAIMER
